I get these rainbow teasers for a very different purpose…for my autistic 11 year old. We’ve been purchasing these from Petco for years, and now that they are unavailable in our area I’m so glad the company still sells them on their website. My child literally carries this teaser around with her 24/7. She taps (shakes) it to receive sensory feedback and even taps when she reads books, tells a story, and in school. My child uses them so much that the wool does eventually pull off shortening the strands, but we’ve never had a stick break in all its travels. If you want to know if cats like it then I can speak to the fact that our 5 cats were incessantly trying to get them and play with them before we taught the cats that these teasers are off limits. We’ve also used other products from this company with our cats and they are fans of the wool products. I wholeheartedly recommend these for autistic children and cats.

I have two 4yr old girl cats and all the teaser toys we brought home didn't last more than a week. this is the only one that's lasted, it's been about 5 months now and they just barely ripped one of the strings in half. I just bought two more as back up and I don't think I'll have to buy another for the rest of their lives.
